Police Department Staff Bios

Chief Scott Spangler

Scott Spangler was named Acting Chief of the Steelton Borough Police Department in April 2009.

On June 23, 1980, Chief Scott Spangler was hired by the Steelton Borough Police Department. He was promoted to Sergeant in November 2002.

Chief Spangler has attended numerous police related schools and is a graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College with an Associates Degree in Police Science. Chief Spangler is also a graduate of Eastern University with a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Management.
