In July 2023, the Borough of Steelton received funding to construct a community garden at Mohn Street Park. There are 14 plots available for residents to reserve, allowing community members to grow any crop of their choice while taking responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of their garden bed. The program is FREE for all residents, with reservations for plots on a first-come, first-served basis. Also offered with the program is personalized assistance from our master gardeners to ensure your fruits and vegetables are growing healthily, one-on-one demonstrations and cooking classes, nutrition education, exclusive events, and much more.
