Biography

The Honorable Keontay R. Hodge is a longtime fixture within the state government arena. Over the course of her 17-year career with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Hodge has acquired the knowledge base necessary to navigate throughout the myriad complexities of the legislative process. Previously serving in the capacity as Committee Legislative Assistant for the House Professional Licensure Committee and most recently serving as Executive Assistant to the Democratic Whip of the House Democratic Caucus, only underscores the depths of her legislative prowess.

Elected in January of 2016 as a member of Steelton Borough Council, Hodge also possesses a firm understanding of local government and has been directly involved in several game changing initiatives within the Borough, which include but are not limited to the opening of the first medical marijuana dispensary in Dauphin County, the development of much needed affordable housing options and creating a more ‘business-friendly’ environment within the region. In addition to her duties as a Councilwoman, Hodge also serves as President of the Steelton Community Development Foundation (SCDF), which is an organization committed to building community bridges and fostering economic opportunity and development within the Borough and its surrounding communities. One of the marquee initiatives of the SCDF is its ‘Annual Community Holiday Dinner’ event, which provides families in need with a sit-down Christmas dinner and holiday gift bags for their children and dependents.

A resident of Steelton, Pennsylvania, Hodge currently serves as Chair Pro Tem of the Steelton Borough Council, Chairwoman of the Personnel, Neighborhood and Economic Development Committees. In addition, she also dutifully serves on the following committees and boards:  Three Mile Island Coalition; and Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women.
