Message from our Chief of Police

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to explore the Steelton Borough Police Department’s webpage.

The Steelton Borough Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency that provides 24 hour service to the residents and visitors of Steelton Borough. The department is responsible for emergency responses, investigating criminal activity, and promoting community relations, all of which will be conducted in a professional manner. Currently the department provides both uniform and non-uniform officers to provide policing services to the community.

Since the establishment of the Borough of Steelton in 1880, the town and the community has a rich history and a strong connection with the steel industry. Along with that connection, the town has been blessed with an accomplished athletic past, which has led to a sense of Steelton pride. In addition to the resident’s Steelton pride, the police department proudly wears the international steel emblem (the iconic three diamonds) on their sleeve. The diamonds worn by the Steelton Borough Police Department displays their respect and dedication to this community.

It is of my opinion that the 21st century police officer is more than just a police officer. They are community leaders, social workers, and role models for the next generation. Today, police officers cannot fulfill their duties without the assistance of the community. Building a strong relationship and having open communication will create a healthy partnership between the Steelton Borough Police Department and this community. The Steelton Borough Police Department will work for and with the community to instill a positive and safe environment to live. Together, we can make a stronger Steelton!

The open communication begins with me, so please feel free to contact me anytime.

Thank you,

Anthony Minium
